I don't think I can review this to my hearts content without mad spoilers (which I admantly dislike &
oppose), so I will refrain for bow until I can come back & give this the attention it deserves.
But if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that things—or a certain person—have a way of finding you no matter how hard you try to hide.

Book 3 of the Tainted Accords series, A Fantasy of Fire, blends the first two books together beautifully. It’s packed with action, subterfuge, revelations, joy and sadness. Olina, the main character throughout, consistently gets stronger throughout each book, her bravery and personal growth are a real treasure in these books. She begins her journey very sheltered and childlike, the progress is slow and steady as she transforms into a true warrior and badass! This book is a clear link to the final instalment and was necessary but not rushed or forced in anyway, it’s actually been my favourite of the three so far. Given the limited scene setting and continuous use of familiar characters the writing style remains engaging and interesting with little to no repetition of conversation or description. A really enjoyable read!!

I stay up to the early hours of the morning and if you knew me, you’d know I never do that. Sleep is too precious when you have 2 littles age 3 and under.
But, this series

I've been wondering about Olina since "Fantasy of Flight" left off, and I was not disappointed. She is still wearing her veil to cover the disgrace of her mother. Only she knows why she wears the veil and it's not for the reason she thought. Olina is still torn between two worlds, and still very much in mourning. She has tremendous growth as a character, and her relationships within the story prove that. Each book got better, and this was well worth the wait. I highly recommend the entire series, especially if you love fantasy. St. Clare brings her stories to life, as the characters are well-developed. I have fast become a big fan of St. Clare!

When I said these books were super fast I meant it, literally just read three in a day if that speaks to how interesting they are. The war is coming closer and Olina is having a difficult time keeping all the different parts of her life separate enough to be beneficial.
The growth from a girl who had seen nothing and never shown her face to a girl who leads three different lives completely is pretty funny. In the previous review I spoke on how these weren't really phrased properly but I think this book started repairing that. It's a little hard to believe, but the way she explained it to everyone made it easier to understand. It honestly makes for pretty good drama, and good politics for at least one of the kingdoms.
I would totally recommend this series for fantasy romance fans. I had my doubts in the first book about the authenticity of the romance but I think it was paced really well and it's not all that hard to believe. Olina has made some pretty poor decisions but she owns up to them and works her hardest to be a good leader in a variety of spheres. I can't wait to see how they deal with how tricky the politics of it all are though, I'm looking forward to a grand showdown.
