Interesting reading -- a book about thrift, financial planning and personal wealth written in "biblical language" and presented as stories from ancient Babylon. The book was originally written in the 1920s and it has become an inspirational classic of sorts. The ideas about saving money, avoiding debt, working hard and living within and below our means are as important to abide by today as when the book was written over 80 years ago.

My takeaways from the book (the rest are pretty much already in The Psychology of Money so perhaps I would have rated this book a bit higher if I read it first):
- Pay yourself first. A part of all that I earn is mine to keep.
- Necessary expense is self-defined. These necessary expenses will ALWAYS grow to equal our incomes. Better pay is not equal to more wealth.

Several key ideas repeated through simplified, idealistic stories that praise the wisdom of a fictional man. Easy read, though not easily applied to the complicated real world.
