βLeander and I both glance at the bed at the same time, and even though we made a point of it when we rented the room, thereβs still a long, long pause as we think about those words. The bed. Just the one.β

This was my second read of The Isles of the Gods (first was an eyeball read when it released), and I think I loved this story even more the second time around! As such, this review is of the audiobook narration and production.
The full cast narration really brought this multi-POV book to life β it was so easy to imagine each of the different characters; Selly, the FMC, with her calls-it-as-she-sees-it attitude, Leander, the MMC, and his charming party boy prince facade, Keegan's well-educated aristocratic bookworm, Jude's down on his luck outsider, and Laskia's do-anything-to-win-her-sister's-approval ruthlessness.
One tiny gripe I had, was that Leander sounded slightly older than I thought he should. Not that I didn't thoroughly enjoy his narration (because I did π), but it was something that caught my attention.
I found the production as a whole to be very well done, and hope that book two will also be produced by @bolindaaudio, and narrated by the same people!
π»πππππ π° πππππππ ππππ: full cast narration, unique character voices, intriguing magic, all the banter, seafaring adventure, danger, found family, vivid world-building, diversity, queer rep

Kaufman knows the way around good characters and a goofy and serious time. Had a real "oh no this is a series not a standalone" moment towards the ending since I did no research before-hand, so ending-wise I'm left a smidge wanting. We'll see how it goes with the next installment!
