Hooray! I have now read my first Sherlock Holmes book. (I'm embarrassed to admit this.)
I enjoyed listening to the Audio book and though I had my suspicions, there were still plenty of moments of surprise. I love how the author slowly unraveled the story and how logically the mystery unfolded. Great read!

I also seem to like the story more with each reading. We discussed this at book club last night, and some of the talking points included: Holmes' ethics and treatment of/attitude toward Watson; Dr. Mortimer's funny skull fascination; Holmes and Watson's living arrangements; treatment of the servants by various characters; Watson's personality; the Stapleton weirdness. We also compared the book to the Sherlock episode, which is a fantastic modernization with interesting interpretations.
MY COURSE IS MAKING ME READ SOME GREAT BOOKS THIS SEM AAAAAAAAA
