These books are the perfect lighthearted low quality books I need every now and then. The writing is mediocre and sometimes confusing and the plot is very predictable, but I still enjoy reading them. This was probably still my least favorite in the series just because I’m not a fan of the jealous best friend of the chosen one trope. But hey, a fun read’s a fun read.

Loved the discussion of a-spec identities and queerplatonic relationships in this. And this book carries on the theme of fighting a corrupt government, which I love, but plot-wise a lot less happens than in the first two books, so it drags a bit in the middle.
I'll return to this series when the next book is out. I'm interested to see how it will all conclude.
