This is how you end a book. I loved the whole series and I will miss all the characters. Conclusion: I see myself rereading this in the near future.
(review for books 1-4 of The Lunar Chronicles)
Okay, I was not expecting to like Cinder enough to read the entire series, but I did. (I'm not sure if low expectations had anything to do with this.) There are a lot of ships in this series (one for each book), and Cinder and Kai were the least interesting. Kai in general was just super MEH for me, and even though I'm obviously on his side, he mostly came off as superbly incompetent nearly the entire time. Cinder is fine though, she's a great protagonist to follow. Her taste in boys just needs some work. Thorne and Cress were straight up adorable, but Jacin and Winter were my favorite ships. Levana can go straight to hell with Adri chained up behind her.

Everything was just so wonderful, from the first page till the end. I loved every moment. I cried a few times. The Lunar Chronicles has a very special place in my heart.
this book needs some serious editing. it was unnecessarily long to the point that i skimmed a lot. i didn't need all that info and i didn't care. i really enjoyed the three previous books and this one ended well (finally) it just took too long. i also found parts to be very frustrating in that i could clearly see what was going to happen and the characters acted like idiots (including Cinder who has a computer brain). the author does a nice job of incorporating the fairy tale elements, but so much of the rest of the story was drawn out or predictable.
medium-paced
So PERFECT! This will always be one of my favorite series!
Highly recommend if you love fairy tale retellings or sci fi!Full discussion with spoilers will be written tomorrow! Its late!

O.M.G!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This book took me FOREVER to read but I don't care because it was totally amazing. I felt like some chapters weren't really needed but I liked the book. SPOILER ALERT (everybody gets a happy ending, which I'm very happy about). I hope Marissa Meyer comes up with a spin off series that connects with this story because the characters are amazing and the dialogue is off the wall awesome!!!!!!!!! I definetly recommend this book and the series to EVERYONE!!!!!!!!
PERFECT ENDING IS PERFECT. *Withdrawal intensifies*
Ok so now that my blood pressure is back to normal I can actually be coherent about this book.
At first, the 800 pages scared me because I had struggled to get through CRESS but stars! How wrong I was! I honestly didn't think I could love this book even more than I had loved SCARLET but I did.
Everything I ever wanted in an ending was there.
The pace.
So much is happening in this book. So. Much. Planning this revolution blew my mind and I couldn't put this book down.
The relationships.
Kai and Cinder. Ultimate Power Couple Perfection. Like they don't even need to talk to communicate... They're that couple.
Scarlet and Ze'ev. Honestly they're my favorite. The Alpha couple. He's so broken my God. I wanted to wrap him in a blanket and keep this precious baby safe. And she's sassy (and my best friend in my head at this point) and fearless and I don't think you'll need more proof of her amazingness.
Cress and Thorn. Hmm. Ok I was not crazy about them in this one. Or not really crazy about Thorn if I'm being honest. He was just plain rude. Not sassy. Just rude and mean at times. BUT thankfully he got his shit together towards the end, and Cress being a precious tech genius "saved" him for me.
Winter and Jacin. MY BABIES. A rollercoaster of feels, angst and separation. Winter is human being goals. An actual Disney Princess too kind for this world. And if Scarlet is the Queen of Sass, Jacin's definitely King. And he was so devoted to Winter ugh MY EMOTIONS.
The villains.
OHMYGOD. We all knew Levana was evil (or more like broken but I have a soft spot for her) but can we talk about Aimery... That guy wins it all. Master of creepiness and torture. I actually got chills at times because of him. Well done, Marissa Meyer, well done.
The author made fall in love with all these amazing characters and I'm so grateful. I really didn't want it to end but when it did it was perfect.
