Rebecca was a surprisingly fast read; I went into it expecting it would take me weeks to get through it, but in the end, I read in in four days. The writing style is beautiful and not too complicated. It never got boring for me, still, in the last 100 pages or so, things really picked up and the finale had me absolutely SHOOK. I *really* disliked Maxim de Winter, but I think that's the point of the book? He treated his second wife who's significantly younger than him like a child and she constantly seeked approval from him.
