The first novel I read after struggling to finish a book for about a year, the healing season of pottery by Yeon Somin was exactly the hug I needed.
While the story is nothing new or special, I was charmed by the simplicity of the writing and the slow moving plot. Delicately scattered between interactions, I found the internal monologues to be most interesting parts of this book and it was hard not to feel for Yu Jungmin as she got out of her shell and learned to hold out her hand to people again.

I recommend this cosy book to anyone who tends to get lost in their life's duties and forgets to make time for the things (and people) who truly matter.
