Last year I read The Diary Of Anne Frank and it was one of the best books that I read that year, ever since then I've been really wanting to read the stories she kept mentioning in her diary entries and finally I got to read it! This book is a collection of short stories and unfinished novellas written by Anne Frank herself. If you've read her diaries before reading this book, you can see more glimpses of how she really felt when she was writing her stories.
One of the few consistent themes that ran through the majority of the stories was nature, God and parental issues; there were many more social issues in her stories that every growing girl can relate to such as their feeling of belonging to a group in their school or neighborhood and the desire to have real friends. It was really interesting to read her stories because I got to know more about her thoughts on different topics like her ideas on what or who god is, it felt like she was a pantheist, a person who believes that god was nature itself, but I could be wrong since she was Jewish and it might be more likely that she believed in the Jewish god.
Overall, her stories may not be "the best", but really what else can you expect from short stories written by a little girl in the middle of a WAR? These short stories were entertaining and funny, but it also had some philosophical and religious substance; oh how great it could have been to see Anne Frank grow up to be a superb writer, she truly had potential.
