Slow burn to get to 95% then fade to black? *insert eyeroll here* A lot of redundant comments throughout the book as if you wouldn't believe what was being said and had to hear it several times. I felt like a lot of important parts were actually fade to black like as if the information being shared wasn't relevant.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOH GIRL! This was my first introduction to "monster romance" so take my reviews with a grain of salt. But hot damn, did this series quickly become my guilty pleasure.

Review:
This book was a trashy quick-read that made me feel...dirty(?)...for enjoying. Probably because I've never read a monster romance and it's always been a taboo subject for me (aside from Twilight). However, by the end of it, I was hooked on the series and was DEVOURING the books. New guilty pleasure unlocked. It also taught me, gave me permission really, to explore new genres/subcategories of books I never thought about before, so thank you Sarah Spade for that life lesson! I gave it three stars because some parts of it felt rushed and I longed for MORE. But don't mistake that for lack of entertainment. The amount of times I literally laughed out loud (Shannon attempting to banish Mal with seasonings and banging pots-and him thinking it was a human mating ritual? Snort-laughing). I also love a book where the guy is inexperienced and immediately falls for the girl. Add in fated mates? Sold. Done. Sign me up, take my money.
