I loved this book. I enjoy STEM romances and Ali Hazlewood as an author. This book is cute. While being contemporary romance it talks about struggles of women in stem. These books bring me joy.

This was my favourite of Ali Hazelwood's books so far. I love how realistic the main characters struggles were and how the story showed a very human experience with life's challenges.
Elsie was so relatable! Her struggles with people pleasing and insecurity was refreshing to see. Jack being patient with her but also lovingly pushing her to be her authentic self truly melted my heart. I also really like that she was not magically healed of her traumas at the end of the story. This is not a concept seen in romance novels which made it even more amazing to read!
LOVED EVERY MINUTE!

I'd like to say that with this book, Ali Hazelwood take the crown for my comfort author, as I swear to God although her books have very foreseeable plot twists and the characters are just a copy and paste of the previous ones, they always manage to make me shriek, scream and screech. I loved Elsie, although she wasn't that developed her people-pleasing got to me, as I am as well and definitely helped me understand some stuff about myself.

I started hating Jack, but oh boy did he redeem himself. The sex scenes weren't also that bad... gotta admit.

Always enjoyed the political backdrop of academia, as I feel like it's very interesting ad something very real.

Overall, a wonderful read that I needed right now.
