Yet another childhood favorite I wanted to re-experience as an adult, and it mostly held up. It was odd to see that the fantasy adventure I remembered was more about growing up and putting right bad/selfish choices than it was about just defeating an evil wizard. Still a good adventure, and a very good character arc as well.
For those who are concerned with such things, magic use by the 'good' characters is almost nonexistent, but they do use the evil wizard's medallions a couple of times for plot reasons.
