I really enjoyed seeing the four siblings' relationship and how "family" as a subject is treated in this book. I liked how June's and her kids' personalities are shown, how the same situation can affect them so differently and which role each of them turn out to play in their family.

I found the second half of the book a bit slower, but apart from that, this book is such a good read. Taylor is a brilliant writer.

Stunning story spanning multiple generations of a family who have known love and loss.

Nina Riva deserves the world and you cannot tell me otherwise. Nina sacrifices everything for her family, losing herself in the process until her family also become her salvation.

Seemingly doomed to repeat the mistakes of her mother until she learns she can stand up for herself.

This book had me laughing and crying and having to look away feeling second hand embarrassment on multiple occasions. TJR has done it again

The first half of the book had me in a chokehold, I could not stop reading. I absolutely love TJR’s signature writing move of introducing the backstory to make you fall in love (or despise) the characters.
In the beginning I thought that Mick and June’s love was so beautiful, that I hoped one of them would die rather than leave each other, for love that pure to exist
. It is ultimately a story about love and family, but it is sometimes painful how much love can hurt. great read.
