This is where the series starts really expanding its world and cast. Very confident, sets the standard of every character having vastly different techniques and begins establishing the overarching plot of the series. The chunin exams are the last arc of this series I remember well but contrary to last volume, it still works really well!

I really enjoyed the trials that the characters faced in this volume. The pace was perfect and the writing was excellent. The characters are starting to develop in really cool and fun ways. Finally, Sakura is growing as a character...praise!!! My only problem with this volume was that the action scenes were confusing at times.

Read this in one sitting. Love the story set ups and yes, even when Naruto is being goofy, I love it.
