“She looked wild and untamed at that moment. She looked like a challenge.”
I genuinely don't think Elsie Silver could write a bad book. I adore her writing and her characters. Vaughn and Billie were adorable, even when Vaughn made me want to scream in frustration at times. Also the horse was my favorite character and I have no shame in admitting that. I am beyond excited to continue with this series.

2.5 ✨ it felt like this would never end. Normally with an Elsie Silver I can zoom through, but I was pushing myself to read this one.

Billie and Vaughn are the same person torn off different clothes. To their backgrounds to the way they act. I loved the connection they shared, the way they challenged each other. And we cant forget about DD the therapist that glued it all together (ps its not a human).

Unfortunately this series doesn’t seem to be off to as great of a start as chestnut springs was however, it was still a great book. I think because I’ve grown up around horses i was able to find the parts which were slightly unrealistic which kinda ruined it at points but over all i loved how elsie had implemented characters from other books into this one and we can see how they all bind together. I’m not too sure if i’ll read the rest of the series but it was a quick not so thought thinking book.
Unfortunately also had less spice than i expected 🥲

I needed a good enemies to lovers cowboy romance to cleanse my palate. This was perfect and I think I might just dive right into the next one. I was obsessed with the Chesnut Springs series, and I didn’t realize until book four that there was a whole series prior. We’ll see if I keep going on this series or start one of the other books I’ve been meaning to read..
