"Why was it that we sometimes wanted something that was impossible? Something that only led to hurt?"

"Bound by Temptation" dives into the gripping world of organized crime, where alliances are forged and broken, and danger lurks around every corner. At the heart of the story are Romero and Lily, two souls entwined in a passionate and perilous romance.
My Rating : 4⭐
My thoughts:
This book is hands down my favorite from the series, and let me tell you why. It's not just about the characters this time, though they're fantastic. Nope, it's the plot that really got me hooked. Picture this: childhood crushes blossoming into a full-blown love story. The way the plot weaves through the complexities of forbidden love, the struggle against external pressures, and the ultimate triumph of love conquering all – that's what had me turning pages at lightning speed. It's like watching a slow-burning fire ignite into an inferno of passion, and I couldn't get enough of it.

Coming to the characters, Romero stole the show for me. He's like a walking contradiction - strong and dangerous, yet sweet and fiercely loyal. I mean, talk about swoon-worthy! Every time he graced the page, I was hooked like a fish on a line.
“Nobody will take you away from me. I’ll fight a million wars if it means I can keep you.”

And, guess what? He did! He really started a war because of her.

And Lily? She's a force to be reckoned with. I admired her strength and determination, especially when it came to fighting for their love. These two didn't just tiptoe around obstacles; they charged at them like bulls in a china shop, ready to take on anything that stood in their way.

But let's not forget about Luca and Aria. Their love story simmered in the background like a slow-burning fire, and I couldn't get enough.

Now, here's the kicker: that cliffhanger ending! I need to know what happens next between Chicago and New York. The tension is so thick you could cut it with a knife, and I'm on the edge of my seat waiting for the next book to read. Talk about leaving me hanging!

In conclusion, "Bound by Temptation" is a rollercoaster ride of passion, danger, and undying love. With Romero and Lily leading the charge, Luca and Aria hot on their heels, and the looming threat between Chicago and New York, this book has it all. So buckle up, because the ride's just getting started, and I can't wait to see where it takes us next!

This installment swiftly claimed the title of my favorite in the series, largely owing to the captivating presence of Lilliana as a leading woman.

Her character embodies a combination of resilience and vulnerability that set right with me. The devastating journey she undergoes, particularly in witnessing her mother's gradual decline, tugs at the heartstrings and underscores the importance of seizing control over one's destiny and embracing love wholeheartedly.

While Romero initially failed to capture my full attention as a leading male, his evolution throughout the narrative gradually won me over, echoing Lilliana's own growing affection for him. Conversely, characters like Luca, Aria, and Gianna failed to leave a lasting impression.. again, further highlighting Lilliana's compelling narrative arc as the standout feature of the book.

Looking ahead, I eagerly anticipate delving deeper into the lives of both Lilliana and Fabi in future installments. Fabi, in particular, has long held a special place in my heart since the first book, and the prospect of exploring his journey and experiencing his raw emotions is a source of great excitement. In contrast to previous experiences with primary couples in the series, whose actions often left frustration at the end of reading, the portrayal of the main relationship in this book was refreshingly authentic and lacked any significant grievances.

I wholeheartedly award this book a well deserved five star rating for its enchanting narrative and engaging characters.
