I would still recommend this book even though the end fell a little flat for me. I was pretty immersed in the story where everyone has secrets. I still really enjoy the way Ashley Audrain deals with the complications of motherhood and the erasure of individuality.

Honestly this book kind of pissed me off, I was bored the whole time, and you are telling me your child fell out of the window because you wanted some and could not walk two feet to the shed so you could hide from him. I don't know this book just really pissed me off. I listened to this book mostly on audiobook, but even then it was so boring and just not my cup of tea. This book sounded so interesting and so good from when I really the little blurb about it, but it did not live up to its expectations. This felt like I was listening to a soap opera where everyone sleeps with each other. I don't think I will be reading anymore books from this author in the future. I just did not like this book and what the plot/storyline was.

3 stars. I was not blown out of the water by The Push, but was very excited to read this one based on the summary. I was very enthralled in this one until the end. I did not understand
why Whitney was pregnant at the end? Idk, maybe I missed something important.
That said, the different POV was not hard to follow, so I enjoyed that. I feel like this was more of a mystery rather than thriller. Big trigger warning for miscarriage.
