For those that like the Douglas Adams style of humour from Hitchhiker's Guide, this is a must.

Maybe my expectations were too high bc of hitchhikers guide, but ultimately this was disappointing

Pros: inventive, funny, it’s Douglas Adams who are we kidding the writing style at least is great

Cons: every character has their own storyline and he jumps between so often it’s hard to ever get invested, no character development to speak of

If you were introduced to Dirk Gently by watching the Netflix version broadcast in the US this book will make absolutely no sense to you. Except for the claim that everything is connected and some

time traveling

nothing is connected between the book and this series. The book, however, is clever, witty and has made me wish to reread Coleridge.
