This book could have been wonderful if it gave a flying fuck about consent. I was revolted by the way Quinn described

Simon's assault, as if it was just a particularly risqué love scene.

Charming, fun, sweet, and a bit too silly for my taste. Honestly, I probably would not continue the series if it weren’t for the show. Yet both characters were interesting, lovable, and well-drawn, and I can only hope Quinn’s writing matures as the series continues.

Edit: moving down to 2 stars because I somehow forgot about the terrifying rape scene? I’m not sure how that happened, but maybe my subconscious buried it — for good reason, mind you.
