Read this in preparation for season 3 of the show. This dearest reader prefers the depth that the show gives the side characters in comparison to the book. However the development of the main characters and their relationship was so fast-paced aand fun! Devoured this book so fast (even if the owning women part gave me a bit of the ick).

I probably would have had more of an issue with the rape scene if I hadn’t known it was coming from the TV show… Not the best resolution to it but its supposed to be set in the 1800s so it makes a bit of sense in that context (even though it’s still horrible).
