I enjoyed this book. While there weren't any big ah-ha moments, it did give an extra light on how sometimes it's when you're disadvantaged you have the chance to do something big, not by choice, but need. Kind of also reinforces how complacent most people are because they can be.

at many points super harsh & challenging. learned a lot i didn't know before & made me think.

I enjoyed the different case studies, but not sure I agree with his conclusions. For the most part still interesting

Very good storytelling but the stories were picked out very specifically to illustrate his points which sometimes didn’t feel like could be generalized. Fun listen and main point was good but started to deviate later in the book. Did like this banger of a quote though: “she could not carve out exceptions for her moral convenience”

The ideas were interesting and thought provoking and the examples used were very interesting. But his writing isn't always that great, and his interpretation of data sometimes is a bit off

I'm a fan of Malcom Gladwell's writing style and the ease at which he makes arguments. This book, though, could have been half the length and still proven the point. I'm also not a huge history buff so the lead-up to the "see, I told you the little guy wins" was dense and uninspiring.
