3.5 stars. The conclusion to this duology is solid. The romance was fun (but eventually unrealistic / unbelievable) and the story expands to new places and new characters. It was lovely to see the brothers’ relationship blossom. The storytelling wasn’t as tight as the first book, and the ending is anti-climactic. Some relationships were not well developed, and I especially didn’t like how Altair and Yasmine’s conflict resolved. Overall, I enjoyed listening to the series through audiobooks.

I enjoyed the first book of this series and was so incredibly excited to see how it all ends. Unfortunately, saying that I was disappointed in this sequel would be an understatement. I honestly did not care for Zafira and Nasir. All the work done to develop their characters in the first book all seemed to have been thrown away at this book. We're already in the last book of the series and yet we're still bogged down with so much telling. I feel like half of this book could have been edited out without changing the story.

I was itching to DNF this book however I was already invested from the first book and Altair. It was such a treat reading his POV, watching him grow. He truly deserved the ending that he got. His chapters were the only reason I haven't pulled all of my hair out yet due to my growing frustration from reading Nasir's and Zafira's POV.

This book was good but it dragged. I listened to both the first and second title of this series on audio book.

Why did it need to be 18 hours long?? You think I'm joking? Ha! Not even exaggerating.

This story could have been 8 hours and a bueatuful conclusion to the story, or if you really needed to fit every bit in (trust me the author did not need to in my opinion). Why not have made it a trilogy?

I was so fed up with the characters and never ending plot, I forced myself to finish it after only making it 40% in. Just because I had made it that far I didn't want to waste it by DNFing the story, because I truly enjoyed the first book.

This honestly just isn’t that great of a series. The first one had potential but was fairly boring and was very obviously debut novel. This felt very repetitive, forgettable and aside from a unique setting didn’t bring much new to the genre. It really dragged in middle and the ending felt very rushed. There was so many times where I was like I get it can we move on already.
