Thank you Netgalley for the ARC audio! A story about a single mom who moves her kiddos to a new neighborhood in a new town for a fresh start after her husband leaves her for a Victoria’s Secret employee (no joke). Things get sticky when she breaks the rules of the neighborhood by putting a gnome in her yard. She decides to boycott the rule and fight the homeowners association, ends up meeting the man in charge of the HMO, and of course, falls for him. It was very much a cozy mystery (without a murder), which is not my favorite genre, but as far as cozies go, this one was pretty good!

A single mom fighting for what's right to make a new home for her kids
Enemies-to-lovers romance by way of the Homeowners Association
Building a community of friends and neighbors
What makes a house a home is the people inside, not the décor outside

This was a very enjoyable sweet romance with so much more meaning behind it. Yes you have the enemies to lovers romance, but you also have a female main character showing her kids how to be strong and to stick up for yourself and to keep your integrity. You have a love interest who is a good man and shows the kids that there are still good men in the world(their father is a deadbeat).
I needed a good romance to break up all the heavy books I have been rereading and this was it.

Thank you NetGalley, Dreamscape Media, and Tracy Goodwin for this advance reader copy in exchange for my honest review.

I absolutely adored this book. To be honest I was on a thriller kick and mistakenly started this book but it was just the fresh novel I needed in the midst of all the suspense. I was rooting for Amelia throughout, understanding what it is like to deal with an ex who cheats and then chooses not to be involved in their children's lives or care about their best interests. I loved that Tracy Goodwin wrote about this and the pain it can put on a parent dealing with this. I also appreciate that Amelia's family and taking care of her kids was always the priority and that Kyle respected that. The HOA drama was enjoyable to read and I know I was cheering for the Carla take-down throughout. Maybe I'll go buy a gnome in solidarity? Hopefully my HOA doesn't have a Carla. ;)

A story about every mom’s fantasy. Sweet characters, gentle plot. I won this in a giveaway, and may not have picked it up at random. Enjoyable.

I’m always excited to add a new audiobook to my monthly reads, so I quickly added WITH NEIGHBORS LIKE THIS after reading the synopsis.

It was a cute romcom with relatable characters, and I liked the love interest between Amelia and Kyle. The audio was narrated by Eva Wilhelm, who really brought the story to life.

*many thanks to Dreamscape Media/Netgalley for the gifted audiobook for review

What a sweet, funny rom com. The main character, Amelia is a recently divorced mom of 2. We are thrown right into her world of solo momming, and all the relatable hijinks that entails. When a community Easter celebration doesn’t go quite as expected, single mom Amelia doesn’t miss a beat. Kyle Sanders, dressed as the Easter Bunny, hops into her life when she needs a distraction the least. Their friendship, and banter hooked me, but Amelia’s character will stay with me.

As a main character, I really enjoyed Amelia’s endearing role. Her swear jar, suburb setting and fiercely navigating this uncharted territory as a solo parent were so well written, I felt my own heart aching.

Sometimes, I think a romance involving kids can be a little tricky to read. But Amelia and Kyle’s story naturally wove together in a way that made me smile, not cringe.

I felt invested in the Amelia’s suburban war, gnome-gate, and equally indignant about the main villain in this story.

This was a pleasure to read! This sets up nicely for a 2nd book. I can’t wait to read about Briget next!

Thank you so much to Dreamscape Media for the chance to listen and review this audiobook prior to its release on August 31st.

I was sold on this one based on the adorable cover and the promise of a fun "mom rom" a new take on "rom com"

We have a single mom that moves into a new neighborhood and battles the HOA over her kid's lawn gnomes. It was light and funny and a great mindless listen.

3.5 stars

This was a nice, relaxing book. Amelia is divorced and she and her two children move into a home with a strict neighborhood enforcement community. She deals with the kids and school, friends and the community watch and trying to make time for herself. The kids do not miss their father as he never spent time with them. Amelia is likeable and makes it easy to slip into her shoes. I thank NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book for an honest review.

This is supposed to be an enemies to loves sort of story, because the guy that she is slightly attracted to also happens to be head of the HOA board that is opposed to the MC having gnomes in her front yard.

And yet, and yet, they never really have a real conflict. They just talk about it.

And meanwhile her two kids are perfect, and everything is fine, other than her ex ran off with someone and left her.

Not enough hatred before the sizzle. But I did like the mean-girl, who was trying to get her in trouble with the HOA.
