Did it blow my mind? No. Did it hook me and make me stay up later than I should have because I had to know? Absolutely. One reviewer put it perfectly when they called it a “pulpy, fast paced, popcorn thriller.” It’s exactly that. And I couldn’t put it down.

Updated Review: After the news revealing of the author is a habitual liar and that his book was published after the novel by Sarah A. Denzil, “Saving April,” which has a near identical plot, I’d like a refund and any good review can be given to the actual author. I think I’ll buy the other book to support her. Disappointing.

Enjoyable page turner. I liked the main character and the plot sucked me in immediately.

Easy, engaging read full of suspense and confusion. I enjoyed the first person narrative, even though it felt ridiculous at times, but I think that was the point.
