Dark, morally gray 100%. A couple parts made me giggle and kick my feet. It is a bit more descriptive than some books but this is for pure entertainment to sit back and enjoy a fantastic red flag mafia man. I strongly recommend the duet audiobook vs reading.

I found the story to be fun, even if it was a bit predictable. The last part of the book was definitely the most interesting and where most of the action happened. Most of my issues were with how cringey some of the dialogue was (coming from someone who is very cringey), and it felt like the spice was drug out a little too much for me. I do love a mafia romance though!

This was a great read for the exact trope I was looking for..I ate it up Scooby style. I struggled during the best friends dialogue but overall see its play in the story.

Oouuuffff! This book had me HOOKED! Loved the narrators…especially the MMC narrator! Damn that sexy bravado and panty dropping growl 🥵🥵🥵. This is a great mafia romance with a ton of banter between the FMC and MMC. I loved the FMC and her sassy, no bullshit attitude. And I love her dog. Also, the dialogue between the FMC and her bff is my favorite. Their friendship is the definition of Ride or Die.
Obviously this has a very much “touch her and ☠️” vibes- between all parties honestly lol. My only hiccup was that the MMC didn’t seem as Russian mobster as I would have expected (but what the hell do I know). And there were sometimes I couldn’t help but roll my eyes at the FMC.
Regardless, this story was so hot! I’m so glad there are more books in these series 🔥🔥🔥🔥

I was a bit skeptical at first - I’m not usually a mafia Romance/ dark romance reader and I was lulled into thinking that a suspiciously highly rated dark romance book was good before but was utter crap, but I actually enjoyed this one.
The writing was surprisingly engaging and interesting and while yes - they did have a ton of spicy time in this book - there was still some plot to the story as well.
I’m going to check out the next in the series.
