Good spice, characters and decent plot which is usually missing in these kinds of books.

This was solidly okay. Read it for bookclub and was worried it would be tough to get into as it was my first mafia romance and the idea doesn’t appeal to me AT ALL but I’m pleased to report that wasn’t the case! It was easy reading with enough to keep me engaged. I did often feel distracted by some elements - namely the insta-love from MMC, as well as both FMC but especially her bff just being immediately down to clown with the mafia - the way it was written just didn’t have enough… rationale? Idk, it just felt too flimsy which often took me out of it a bit. Also re: the smutty scenes - I felt like the author went a bit overboard at times with adjectives and other descriptors and it was too much and just made me roll my eyes or laugh haha.

That said, none of it was that serious and I enjoyed myself! Won’t be racing to grab others in the series but am open to checking them out eventually!

That was awesome 🤩
JT Geissinger is the best for writing plots you don’t see coming.

Kade is the epitome of a mafia boss. Tall, big, captivating…
And he speaks straight from the heart as much as filthy thoughts as loving ones.
I flushed so many time.
Nat is resilient. She’s been through the mourning of her disappeared fiancé. She’s been turning upside down by Kade. Because she didn’t see him coming with his heart on his hand and his sharp frank tongue.

Sloane really deserved her own book, she is the queen of banter and don’t take shit from men. I love her SO MUCH.
“Being with a man twenty-four hours a day is exhausting” I fell ya sister.

The audiobook is narrated by Brooke Daniels, Troy Duran and Michelle Sparks
It is a brilliant duet. Troy’s voice is perfect to embody a mafia boss.

Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️/5
chap 27  is the best spǎnking session I’ve ever read 🥵

Dark, morally gray 100%. A couple parts made me giggle and kick my feet. It is a bit more descriptive than some books but this is for pure entertainment to sit back and enjoy a fantastic red flag mafia man. I strongly recommend the duet audiobook vs reading.

This was a great read for the exact trope I was looking for..I ate it up Scooby style. I struggled during the best friends dialogue but overall see its play in the story.

V spicy & steamy scenes that made me giggle or jaw drop. I’ll eat up the rest of the series the same and will continue to seek J. T Geissinger books.
