Probably my first comic, and first encounter with Batman outside of the movies. The artstyle has both the dynamic poses and action, but without the ultra cleanliness and sharpness. The author and artist use grit without abandon and it makes sense: Gotham is a city where the filth refuses to fade. I do have issues in reading it, especially as I'm not used to the way everything is so jam-packed within small panels. The cursive is also something to get used to, but it's a stylistic choice that I understand.

I didn't really like Batman tbf, however, having Gordon tell half of the story and reconciling their different views was something that kept me reading each page.
