I swore to myself not to read any more of Fitzeks books, as they are disgustingly descriptive and there is definitely something wrong with someone who can put something like that on paper book after book. Yet I read about Mimic and was intrigued. Per chance I got my hands on it. 
The pace is solid and Fitzek knows how to write a page turner. The end was a bit too harsh, I could’ve done without the last few pages.

Another shocking but great Fitzek book. The tension didn't stop at all throughout the entire book. It started straight away with many events that you were hard to order at the beginning, but while the book kept going they all made sense. The story itself was so crazy and always when I thought I had finally figured it out there was another twist & the most shocking one was at the end in the last chapter

. It shocked me a lot, but overall the dynamics between the characters were very interestingly written. The writing style was simple enough to read quickly but still felt like you were reading a serious and dark book and just the whole concept was very very interesting. A very well done story!!

first fitzek book i read, got recommended to me by a friend who read (almost?) all of his books - she said it's the best one. and damn. i expected a thrilling book that can bind me into its spell and well - i read it in one day. so yeah. it was good. a lot of twists i didn't see coming.
might be worth to read trigger warnings beforehand though.
