For some reason, I didn't write a review the first time I read this, but I remember thinking something about it being cool but confusing, I think.
On a reread, I love it even more. This book takes on a lot more meaning when you have the rest of the series for context. It's weird and confusing and very deep. The style definitely makes the pacing really odd, but I think it's very intentional. You see what matters, and the book really hones in on those moments. And it sets up so much that is so important later.
Honestly, the best I can really say is "trust me, it's great, and the series is worth it."
