Book #6 read in 2016

Not his best work. I also hated that the women were referred to as "bitches" during the entire novel.

This is my second Sidney Sheldon novel; the first was If Tomorrow Comes. I loved his first novel and, as soon as I get my hands on my own copy, I will be rereading it. This book, however, I had more difficulty with. Not that the writing is confusing or the plot too complex, more that it felt severely disjointed at the beginning. From page one, various bits and pieces of several different stories were being thrown at the reader. Just as soon as the reader becomes acquainted with this style, it is changed and a single story is carried on for a chapter or two before it switches. However; knowing that Mr. Sheldon would not let me down, I kept reading. To his credit, the stories began to intertwine early, letting the reader know that the stories would eventually come together. Not one to disappoint, the author takes the reader down to a single story somewhere near the middle of the book, and the reader is finally able to focus in on the mystery itself. The climax reaches an intense level, and the book resolves fairly naturally. In the end, it didn't wow me (hence the 3-star rating) but I did enjoy it and was able to read it quickly. Probably my favorite part of the novel was the afterword, in which some aspects of the book had a new light shed on them, making the story all the more intriguing!

If you're into books with female heroines, if you like a mystery that resolves everything nicely, or if you enjoy books which go back and forth between various pieces of the story, you'll love this book. Even if you're just a mystery fan, Sidney Sheldon is, in my opinion, an author you can always go to when you're looking for an easy, enjoyable read.

Four top scientists are mysteriously killed in the beginning of the book. Wives of two of those scientists are ordered to be killed as well by the killer of top scientists. One after the other, those two women survive the murder attempts through childish twists by the author.

I should have stopped reading the book after first failed stupid murder attempt, but then I needed to complete this year's book reading challenge so kept reading till the end. One good aspect of Sidney books are ease of reading them. He does not use complicated sentence structures and you can breeze through the book.

Definitely do not recommend this book to any one.

This was Sheldon's last novel before he died, and obviously his illness had taken the best part of his writing skills because this one was a flop.

Four people die in four different cities around the world in very gruesome ways. All of them are associates via an environmental company they dally at. Two of the four surviving windows want answers, and while they don't trust each other, start Scooby Doo snooping to get closure on their loved one's deaths, which Sheldon has wrapped around the environmental brew haha.

Yeah, it isn't really good traditional Sheldon form, but a must if you're a Sheldon head.

This was a quick read. Very interesting. My first Sheldon book so I will have to look for others

I’ve actually read everything I could get my hands on by Sidney Sheldon a couple of years back actually lol I don’t even remember how most of these went

Not one of his best books, but this book made me so nervous for the characters in such a short read.
