Every time I read a new book from the windy city series I claim that it’s my favourite from the series but I can’t see another book from the franchise topping this. I hate marriage for convenience usually but this is the exception. I have two words Isaiah fucking Rhodes.

Maybe I made a mistake not reading this whole series. Wow.

I was just expecting this to be a fast paced, surface level tropey book but man, my expectations were exceeded.

An actually likeable MMC that is confident and flirty without being arrogant and annoying. Characters had depth to them, while it kinda was insta lust for the MMC, I'm glad it wasn't an insta-love like a lot of these books seem to go.

I really enjoyed this and I'll be going back to read the rest of the series.

5/5 ☆
oh. my. goodness. crack. literal crack was in this book. best one in the series hands DOWN

i think i highlighted at least once on each page, whether it was something super sweet isaiah did or kennedy and isaiah’s banter or what, but i am utterly obsessed!!!

we follow isaiah rhodes (mmc, baseball player) fall in love with kennedy kay (fmc, athletic trainer) at first sight and when he notices she isn’t wearing her engagement ring anymore, he shoots his shot. one thing leads to another, and they get drunkenly married in vegas. for isaiah, it’s a dream come true, but for kennedy, it’s her worst nightmare.

isaiah rhodes officially made it onto my book boyfriend list

this book was PERFECTION. I laughed, giggled, cried, kicked my feet literally every emotion. I truly can’t think of a single thing I would change about it, it’s by far my favorite of the series so far which says so much considering how much i love the right move. Isaiah is literally top book boyfriend of all time this man is so caring, sweet and just ugh EVERYTHING. I swear Liz has ruined irl men for me because they can’t compare. I absolutely loved Kennedy and I felt like I was reading my inner thoughts every time I was in her POV. Ugh I just love this book so much and I need everyone to go read IMMEDIATELY

OMG THE LONGING AND PINING!!!!! I loved Isaiah and Kennedy. I really wasn't sure I was going to like these two, especially after the last book and with how they get together. But DAMN Isaiah stepped up in a way I never expected. He is the ideal of supporting your woman without diminishing who she is. I loved Kennedy's personal growth arc!

I got teary twice, but one of those times was about Kai (from the last book) so it doesn't count.

Liz with the fluid storylines - chef's kiss.
