This is an example of one of the most-effective titles describing what matters in the text. I think the way we don't actually meet the characters involved in the crime is done really effectively here, and for the subject matter and buildup the pacing is perfect to reveal the "who done it." Really satisfying!

i read this for school, and it was actually really interesting. this is more of a 3.5 for me or 3.75, just not quite a four star read.

First book of the year! and a good way to start reading again. (thanks to lit classes)

A short and sweet (well maybe not so sweet) one act play that, while probably seminal in some way for feminist-type plays/works, didn't feel forced (possibly in part for its brevity). I was more surprised that I had never heard of such a playwright (not that I'm necessarily particularly well versed in these sorts of things...) but it seems she was known and faded into some obscurity, and is now being re-discovered of sorts (source: the very reliable wikipedia).

Anyway, I appreciated it as a short story/one-act play. I can't promise it'll be particularly memorable...but not necessarily forgettable either.

A class reading, but it was much more enjoyable than all the other readings we've been assigned. I really loved the women in this play and how smart and observant they were and how obviously ignorant the men were.

So good! Love it!
