Thank you Sarah for not leaving me with the biggest cliff hanger hangover! I'm onto the next and am so excited!

Fantastic story, Bryce and Danika are badass! Also Ruhn is so fucking dreamy

Oh. My. Goodness. So this book is totally a slow burn, you almost hate in the beginning because SJM dumps information about the setting on you and you get confused and then you get into it and you’re like oh this is cool it’s like a high fantasy cop show and then you get into the last 20% percent of the book and there is panic, yelling, crying, and cheering (all done by me the reader) and I loved it.

Can’t wait for book 2, listened to it in audiobook form and I highly recommend that! It was great. Definitely has flaws but it was great.

Her using a vacuum was crazy.
If you like the shadow hunters show on Netflix (I haven’t read the books) then I rekon you’d like this book, it gave me the same vibes.

Compared to ToG and ACOTAR, this was her weakest book 1, but it’s Sarah J Maas and she can’t write a bad book. I will say I started this I a slump which wasn’t the best idea with all the world building but it was still enjoyable.

I don’t care for any of the characters (yet) and Hunt and Bryce’s relationship is cute but I’m not really IN it?
