Well this was disappointing.
Zoey and Graham have insta love I wasn't connect with them at all, but I liked setting and dog.
I will continue reading series because I'm interested in Easton book.

”As love stories went, Graham was pretty sure this one sucked.”
Ya’ll. They were together for 14 days and somehow managed to find the time to break up three different times.
Graham initially comes off as a man who would stick it in any warm hole with how enthusiastically he flirts with every single female he encounters, and then there’s Zoey, who was a little bit pitiful, sort of like a musty dishrag. It definitely gave off a Luke/Lorelai vibe with the grumpy diner owner/quirky customer dynamic, but only a hint of a vibe, like when you’re drinking a La Croix.
Graham was equally charming as he was rude to Zoey, constantly throwing her being a tourist back in her face. It was definitely us vs. them, which got a little bit old. Some of the dramatics at the end were a little silly, and this was definitely 100-150 pages too long, but overall, it was cute enough.

This was in desperate need of a better editor.
The premise was adorable. Grumpy restaurant owner (Graham) in a tourist town falls for a tourist (Zoey). The setting is Alaska which gives the opportunity for so many beautiful scenes and experiences, but the premise and setting out paced the actual plot.
First, this book was about 100 pages too long. If your main characters have to break up more than once, it's not a good look. They break up THREE Times.
Second, the male love interest's personality is all over the place. He hates tourists, but not all of them. He's sweet, unless he's punching walls or people. He loves and hates his restaurant. It seems like the author wanted him to be grumpy but instead made him scarily violent and unable to process his big feelings without resorting to physical altercations.
Third, all of the side quest plots are underdeveloped. Lana (Zoey's friends and travel buddy) is doing some big gala and it is played up randomly and then slipped over. Zoey's excursions keep getting canceled which is the catalyst for one of the fist fights and one of the reunions of the couple.
Fourth, I didn't like either of Graham or Zoey. They would have cute or relatable moments, but then there were also things that just pulled me out of the story. Like Graham constantly calling her "Gorgeous" or "Zoey Bear".
Honestly would've DNFed this but I had already made it halfway and it felt like a waste.

This book was really cute, lighthearted and had a great storyline. I thoroughly enjoyed the characters, their banter and conversion, the Alaskan setting and I laughed so hard over the Ulysses the moose! I was especially won over by Graham and Jake’s (his dog) relationship. I listened to this as an audiobook and thought the narrator did a good job, too.
Content: Heavy making out, characters engage in sex though it is not explicitly written out (closed door), alcohol, inebriation, swearing. For those who prefer wholesome romcoms, this is not your book. IMO this is a middle ground book. Not clean, not explicit, strictly right down the middle.

Aww this was a cute rom com. I thought the narrator, Elise Arsenault, did a great job with the characters personas and kept me listening!
The story itself is cute and predictable, but thats why I love these types rom coms! They’re easy to follow and listen to or read as a feel good romance ❤️
Also, seriously, if i had as much bad luck as Zoe did on vacation I definitely would’ve complained way more and be way more upset! She’s a darling and Graham is definitely a cinnamon roll.
