Bullet train nasce evidentemente con l’aspirazione di essere un thriller scorrevole, incalzante e avvincente rivolto ad un ampio, ampissimo pubblico internazionale. Tuttavia la narrazione risulta in alcuni punti noiosa e ridondante e i paragoni letterari e cinematografici eccessivamente pretenziosi. In più occasioni la trama si indebolisce (ulteriormente) e ne esce rafforzata solo da provvidenziali colpi di scena che, in realtà, di realistico e credibile possiedono ben poco.

Highly enjoyable but frustrating that you don't really find out what happens to one of the main characters.

Think the movie adaptation actually had a better, more cohesive ending. But this was delightfully bonkers and I loved seeing how ideas in this book were taken and twisted by the movie script writers. Lots of Easter eggs for fans of the novel. Very cool.
