The story was better in this book then the drawings. I loved reading how the animals were egoistic and how that turned out. Good story with a lesson.

This is a lovely calming story about a little island and it’s connection to the rest of the world. The book has a message that each of us are individual but also connected. The pictures are very calming along with the text. There are links to seasonal changes which could be explored further alongside a topic on the seasons. I would read this book with fs or ks1 children.
