One more for July, cutting it close 😂 I have really enjoyed everything I've read by Adrienne Young so far! I just think that her writing is so beautiful. I really enjoyed the idea of this book. We have our FMC, James (yes, you read that correctly), going back to her hometown she ran away from to figure out what happened with her twin brother's death. We have typical small town vibes, and rumors, and secrets that come to light. The pacing of the book was a bit slow to start but picked up about halfway through. I wish the characters had been more fleshed out and explored because there were definitely some character histories that would have been fun to read. But overall, this was another Adrienne Young book that I was very fond of!

You could hire the entire cast of Twilight again for the making of this movie. Once I started picturing Kristin Stewart portraying James, everything just made sense.
For being under 300 pages, this story felt slow to me. By the end I was invested in the mystery and enjoying the guessing game of it all. I wasn’t super connected with the characters, but the setting was so well written. It also felt like Forks. Back to using the cast of Twilight.

FINALLY, a book that gave me the exact same feelings as when I read Spells for Forgetting :’) Adrienne did it again <3
It wasn't epic but it was enjoyable. It's an easy read and short. I feel it's worth the time. Christine Lakin does a decent narration.

This was actually a really good read. It had just the right amount of suspense to keep me on the edge of my seat. I couldn't put this down until I finished.
