I'm giving this a solid 3 stars. I enjoyed the vibes it gave, but I felt like 1/2 to 3/4 of the book was just too slow or repetitive. I teared up once so that makes me want to rate it higher but if I'm honest with myself this occasionally felt like a chore to pick up. I've noted Adrienne Young's stories in general tend to start slow for me and then I get into them after like half, but this felt a little different... idk. If you like dark, mysterious, kinda thriller vibes then this is probably for you. I wouldn't read it again, but I liked it fine

Very atmospheric, just like any Adrienne Young book. I did see part of the twist coming, though, but part of it still caught me off guard.
