Very slow start and middle to this book, it did pick up in the last third and after putting it down constantly I found myself finishing it in almost one sitting. However I still feel like not a lot happened in this book and I’m not a fan of books focused entirely on setting.
I also expected (maybe incorrectly) that there would be more magical realism in this. Finally….what is this trend recently with the last chapter/epilogue pregnancy!

This had a very slow start, barely interesting middle, but a thrilling end. James and Micah speaking about how they always had to cover for Johnny’s mistakes even after he died made it the “easy answer” regarding Autumn’s death. I thought it was Ben and then Sadie.. After the text from Olivia though I knew it was her. So there were a few moments where I was wrong but it was all fairly predictable. I’d also just like to say I CALLED IT WITH SADIE!!!
