I love Austen fanfiction, and had high hopes. I found the immense amount of characters, despite being very familiar with all six Austen novels, to be cumbersome to the plot and pacing. Overall I liked it. Easy cozy mystery for anyone that would like to see one of Austen's great villains get his comeuppance.

The Murder of Mr. Wickham is a fun cozy mystery in which the characters (or their offspring)are from various Jane Austen Novels. It would be easier to keep up with the characters if I had completed all her novels - which I haven’t. I loved Jonathan and Juliet. Credit to Claudia Gray on diversify. (It would be a bit tricky to add ethnic diversify to characters so known and loved.)Jonathan, however is neurodiverse, and I feel that his perspective was handled authentically.

Emma Knightley is hosting a house party filled with Austen characters. But when blackmailing, swindling, odoriferous Mr. Wickham crashes the party, which guest will snap and murder him first?

Enjoyed this one. Most Austen pastiches fall extremely flat for me, but this one worked! And the young investigative couple were delightful. :)

Jane Austen and cozy mysteries are two of my favorite things, so it’s no wonder that I loved this.
