The more I think about this book, the less I like the entire thing. The story was engaging and (mostly) fun up until the end, when you learn that the entire premise of the book was a lie Deuce put in motion to try to manipulate Cherilyn, which really kind of taints the whole thing for me.

I've never read a book that was blurbed in a completely misleading way like this one was. I exspected some cute, Stars - Hollowesque small town feel- good story. Instead I got the dark, devious, mean things people do to each other. Had I known I would not have picked up this book at a time when I really needed something cozy and comforting.
