don’t let the comparison to gone girl get you, truth be told it’s not really a fair comparison! however i enjoyed reading it nonetheless, although the beginning is a bit slow and some chapters seem to stray from the main point of the book

Vispār patika. Bet kāpēc ir jānoklusē tas, kas it kā ir nieki, piemēram, sievas slimība, rakstītais uz slimnīcas lapas u.c.? Nesapratu šo autora ieceri.

This book kept me hooked and wanting to read it but a very disturbing end. Also didn't like any characters and it maybe seemed too real and how ugly life can be!

I am usually a generous reviewer but I truly did not care for this book. I was enticed with the comparison to Gone Girl but sadly was disappointed. I was prepared not to like the characters so no disappointment there. However it really lacked a plot. Nothing happens at until halfway through the book. Maybe because it so long to hook my interest, I didn't care about the "mystery" of it by the time the author gave us the main problem. I would not recommend this book.
