The best and only entertaining thing was the main characters way of thinking. The rest was meh. I didnt like the way the story was broken up. An objectively bad book that i somehow enjoyed

This was a very odd book, but I liked it. Honestly, I feel like it would have been 1000x better as a short story. Some parts were a little slow, but I enjoyed it more once it picked up.

If you enjoy stories in which layers are slowly peeled away, revealing hidden motives over time, give this a try. Lots of folks have compared it to [b:Gone Girl|19288043|Gone Girl|Gillian Flynn|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1397056917s/19288043.jpg|13306276], and both do have unlikeable but compelling characters who have gotten comfortable with rationalizing pretty extreme behavior. Didn't love it, didn't hate it.
