A fun read, really dark at some bits but filled with humour.
I haven't read a book of his yet that wasn't enjoyable.
Almost makes me want to get back into playing golf.

My favourite John Niven story - the tale of Gary, who you feel sorry for, but ends up getting what he deserves. Funny, shocking and exciting - I couldn’t put it down (all 376 pages)!

Really enjoyed this. It’s a brilliant story, it’s funny and everything comes together really well through out. For anyone that’s ever experienced a bad round of golf this is a must read. It’s so relatable and will leave you smiling and laughing through out. Loved it!

I've had a filthy cold for the last few days and this was the perfect read to cheer me up. Do you need to be a golf fan to enjoy it? No, definitely not. All you need is a broad sense of humour. Part farce, part sports novel, part thriller, it's a roller coaster ride with some great characters and mad set ups. I don't want to tell you more, I want you to enjoy it for yourself. John Niven is easily one of the funniest and filthiest writers around. So unless you are a po-faced dullard from Dullsville, grab a copy and thank me later.

A page turner which was surprising to me as it was focused on golf. An interesting idea about a man who has an accident and then develops an amazing talent for golf at the same time is developing Tourette’s syndrome
