Such a heartwarming story. I love how the connections between the characters emerge through the reading. The narrator was easy to listen to and I breezed right though it. This book does touch on some sensitive subjects like grief and addiction but does so respectfully.

In a tale of intersecting lives, Maggie Herbert, a barista struggling with family challenges, discovers a glimmer of hope when she rents a room from the widowed and reclusive Joan Sample. As Joan begins to reengage with life, her connection with a mysterious landscaper and Maggie's budding attraction to a favorite customer create a delicate harmony that unexpected emotions and past losses may disrupt.

I read this book on my Kindle and listened to the audiobook.

What I enjoyed:
  • It is a cute story that follows two women of different ages/life stages
  • Low angst
  • Sweet/adorable side characters
What I did not love
  • The first half was slow. This is where you get all your background; it just drags a little for me.

I think you would enjoy this book if:
  • You like contemporary romance or contemporary fiction
  • You like low-angst stories
  • You have lost someone you cared about

Review:
Thank you to Goodreads for picking me to win this FREE Hardcover Copy in a giveaway on their website a few months ago.

Even tho ive read many other books by Debbie Macomber i think this one is by far my favorite since its goes indepth about Grief after losing a Husband and Father since My Mom and I have been dealing with that for 2 years now.

The Characters were fun and enjoyable to read about. Joan and Maggie were my favorite since i really loved how Joan rented out part of her house to Maggie to help each other our financially even tho i wouldnt do anything like that since its a HUGE Commitment.

The Setting was beautifully described which made me feel like i was actually in the book while reading, especially when the scenery was described.

Overall Another Good Contemporary Fiction!! Can't wait to read more by Debbie in the future!!
