I actually enjoyed this book. I thought that it was revealing a world that was different and through the view of the last of her kind. I wish that the world building was deeper and that the spice scenes weren't all clumped into like 5 chapters back to back. The spice scenes were a bit amusing than thrilling. I wish that this was much more plot driven and not short time span. I would have loved a much deeper look into the story. It'll be interesting to see if there is a companion book to someone else in the series and how that is.

It was going to be lower but the ending was actually pretty good. :) However still a lower star review as the book seemed to rush the storyline a few times giving an information dump almost every few chapters.

The overall plot was good and I think would have been better with a slower storyline/ character development.

Was looking forward to a magic circus plot, but the plot completely strayed away from that. No mystery and everything happens exactly as you expect.

This book is so UNserious, but like? I was vibin? It's not perfect by any means, and I would not say this is terrible.

- Upon rereading the synopsis, it is not WRONG, but I think most people build up expectations of what they THINK it will mean.
- The writing is very simple, like incredibly basic. Until the smut scenes, when apparently the author decided to put on her glasses and say "let's get down to business"
- The circus was kind of a launching point for the setting, but they aren't physically there all that much. I get why people are annoyed by this because it does feel like it should have been a bigger point.
- Again, this is so unserious. It's basic. Do not think too much into this one honestly.

- Let's talk about the ending!!
- I hate the pregnancy trope in the last chapter, like c'mon do we really need this? No.
- The epilogue felt so rushed??? The war between the queens is over in a matter of one paragraph? Why. Jail.
