I had to read it for school, and I liked the movies better, as the book was long an dull to read.

Didn’t enjoy it on reread as much as the first time—the last couple of stories aren’t particularly strong. But I do quite enjoy the way Kipling draws the reader into a truly foreign realm by using the world of the animals.

A classic for a reason. Did not love every story, but it is original and a good read altogether.

I love this book partly because it is a childhood sweetheart.
I just wanted to taste it by reading rather than watching it on the silver screen and yet i did both.
The TV show,Cartoon movie,CGI movie and the book all are welcome for me but still i believe the movie is better than the book because this book is not something merry or thrilling as the movie(since movie is supposed to be that for obvious reasons)
Nonetheless i ave no more complaints about it and i bet if i had not been exposed to the media versions of this i would still be as much excited after reading it
