Another tough read, but it did a great job of capturing real grief. The main character was really likeable and I felt for him throughout the book. I was so ANGRY when he was being blamed. Again, it's one of those moral grey areas to be debated, but took a side very early on. The grandmother was my favorite character, and that story was the most powerful for me.
Graphic: Suicidal thoughts and Child death
Moderate: Car accident

It took me a while to finish this book even though I wanted to devour it as fast as possible.
Dealing with grief is complex. It’s non-linear and it takes time. The characters dealt with their grief in different ways and that gave the readers a better understanding about their personality.
The difficulty in finishing the book was on how some characters felt incredibly unlikeable and how they weren’t understanding of Carver’s grief. Then I realized they were also dealing with their own grief and that doesn’t guarantee rationality or logic.
I’d also like to mention a thanks for introducing to me a new word. Pareidolia.
