This was okay but the FMC is super irritating. I know she’s been through a ton of trauma and that is informing her thoughts and actions but man I want her to take charge and go scorched earth on everyone. This book is mostly just laying the foundation of plot that will be relevant in the rest of the series but I’m hopeful to continue.

Another good installment. But still felt like a sloooow burn, and finally we meet our main love interest and boyyyy is he magnetic. On to the next one and I feel like we're finally getting somewhere 🙌

I keep getting surprised by these series. I normally feel like some books are just there to get you to the next one but not so with these. And I’m so surprised it like it bc it has so many triggers but it’s so well written from the POV of the abused woman who’s trying to break free.
