I loved this book soo much!! The second I found out this book focuses on the aunts (especially Frances) I knew I had to read it and I was not disappointed! I was so invested in this book and the characters I didn't want to stop reading. It made me laugh and cry and in the end I was happy with the characters endings although in my opinion Frances deserves the entire world lol. Can't wait to read the other two books in the series!

oh man, i liked this one just as much as the first! the really great thing about these books is that it picks people up and never puts them down. people you expect to slide in and out of the story with relative ease don't leave the sisters' orbit and i really, really love that. it leads to such unique and heartwarming relationships like jet's and the reverend's. ugh, i can't wait to read the next one!

I liked this book! I did not like it enough to read it again or necessarily recommend it to others...I felt that most of the book was choppy and jumped all over the place. The character of Vincent seemed unnecessary...only there to pull in Sally and Gillian for the future plot of practical magic. I thought the ending was nice and emotional, but seemed rushed.

I am not quite sure what to say about this book it was ok not great but I didn’t hate it?
Ultimately, I found it to be a very basic magical story about 3 witchy siblings that will fade from my memory so quickly. The focus was not on their witchyness, but rather on their witchy reputation in their small town of New York City? and their family curse that they can never ever fall in love. I found the time place setting of the ‘50s & ‘60 to feel a little inconsistent.
Overall, it’s about sibling relationships, family drama, curses, reputation, finding your own identity and our desire to be loved, but to protect ourselves as well.

This book felt like a hug and had me feeling nostalgic for a life I never had. A story of love and loss, sisterhood, and family sagas. A perfect cozy read for fall

This was a pretty good book. I liked the writing and the characters, but everything was a little too surface level for me.
